And so ends The Legend of La Mariposa - Demon Gauntlet.
I’ve been working on this webcomic off-and-on for four years now, and it’s been a profound learning experience. This story has served as a kind of a laboratory, where I’ve experimented with different methods and approaches to cartooning and storytelling as I’ve gone along. Am I happy with the result? Yes and no, but that’s kind of how it goes with art, I think. One thing’s for certain, though. It’s been educational.
So what’s next for The Legend of La Mariposa? Truth is, I’m not quite sure. I currently have four different LoLM stories at different stages of development. Ideally, I’d like to find a publisher who’s willing to help me put out a couple of nice LoLM graphic novels. As far as Demon Gauntlet goes, I’m planning on collecting this story into a nice fat graphic novel. How? Not sure yet. Maybe it’s time to give Kickstarter a go.
Lastly, I want to thank every person who has read, recommended, purchased or shared my comics. Without your support, I don’t know that I would have followed through and finished this story. It means the world to me that anyone would choose to spend their time on my comics over everything else that’s out there.
So, that’s about it for me, for now. If you want to keep abreast of what I’m up to, check out my Instagram and Twitter for up-to-the-minute details and new artwork.
Thanks again, and FIGHT ON!
